Your porta potty delivery and placement checklist
Before delivery in Redding, choose a usable position and check the entire route from the road. A toilet fitting through a gate does not mean the delivery and service vehicle can reach it.
1. Choose a stable, level position
Describe the surface and flag soft sand, mud, slopes, or freshly landscaped areas. Have the delivery provider assess the placement and the route for the actual vehicle and equipment.
2. Check gates, overhead clearance, and turns
Measure entrances and describe tight turns, low branches, wires, fences, and parked vehicles. Ask for the required vehicle clearance and service access; the width of the restroom alone is not enough.
3. Keep the restroom and approach usable
Leave room for the door and a clear route for users. For accessible facilities, check the approach, surface, entry, and clear spaces together. Do not block an exit, sidewalk, or driveway without the necessary authorization.
4. Mark the position and share a backup
A cone or sign can help if the driver has easy access and unattended placement has been agreed. Share a backup contact and an alternate position. Avoid putting gate codes in a public location; provide them directly to the rental contact.
5. Plan for pickup before delivery
A used unit may need pumping before it can be loaded. Keep the route available throughout the rental, even if scaffolding, landscaping, or parked vehicles change. Confirm who will open gates and how collection will be requested.
